Calypso empowers parents to curate their children’s video content across all streaming services.
The Problem With YouTube
Any attentive parent with children using YouTube has seen the proliferation of mindless brainrot, scary, and mature videos.
Streaming service algorithms are designed to amplify negative content. This regularly exposes children to attention drains, frightening or violent videos, or otherwise inappropriate content.
One of the big issues facing parents is the autoplay function of these platforms, creating a ‘rabbit hole’ effect for their impressionable children.

Calypso provides parents with a blank slate, in which they curate a list of approved videos and channels for each family member.
Each family member has a password-protected profile with their own approved media library.
Videos do not autostart, nor does the platform suggest additional videos. Only approved videos can be watched.
